What are the biggest mistakes new players make in The Isle?
Closed thread Closed by archiveI've been playing The Isle for a little while and somehow manage to turn every decent growth run into a disaster lol.
Usually I get hungry, start looking for food, wander into somewhere I shouldn't be and get folded by something twice my size.
What's the biggest mistake you made when you first started? I'm trying to figure out what I should actually focus on instead of randomly running around the map.

Replies are closedMaking too much noise. I used to call constantly because I thought it was funny. Turns out announcing your location to everything nearby isn't the galaxy brain move I thought it was.
Food and water first. Fighting comes later. A lot of new players chase every sound they hear and forget their own dinosaur has needs.
ngl my first adult took forever because I kept switching directions every five minutes. Pick a reasonable route and stop wandering around like you're looking for a lost car key.
Learn your species. A small dinosaur shouldn't be trying to win every fight against a larger one. Your movement and stamina matter more than people think.
Also don't assume a quiet area is automatically safe. Sometimes it just means the predators haven't arrived yet lol.
